Text:
The Stone Folk have long been a part of Fabernum's history. Before they retreated beneath the mountain, Huérgar are said to have frequented the town.
It was the Huérgar that the people here learned the specific methods of refining and smelting that Fabernum is now famous for.
After The Conflux, several families of Huérgar decided to stay on Fabernum instead of joining their brethren in retreating to the world below.
Although outsiders who know little of the Huérgar would paint them as a monolith, there are many divisions of thought and mannerisms among them even when considering the Huérgar found in Fabernum in comparison to those found in Tindrem.
The Huérgar in Fabernum, although they hold their own values and reside in their own community, tend to be less involved in social climbing than those in Tindrem. Many are quite content to live as the Fabernumites do, focusing on their crafts and what they can offer to the Provinces and the communities around them.
Historically, there was also a small trickle of Blainn from their settlement of Old Hyllspêia up in the Talus Mountains. Although their influence was small, it can be felt in the small injection of Nordveldian names specifically inspired by the Blainn tongue of Lisan Ki. Most, however, follow the principles of Lisan Abnu, the Huérgar dialect.
