According to the Huérgar, Ichor is the blood of Oghma which flows through the rocks of Nave, and they as well as the Blainn employ it in various rituals. Whether or not it is the blood of a Goddess, the silvery metal is in unusual in that it remains a liquid at room-temperature, and is most commonly extracted from Red Bleckblende alongside the much more obscure Sanguinite. It also sees some very common use as a reagent in the Ecumenical School of Magic.
