Introduction
Once known as Gabaria before its fall around 1272 AT or 132 AC, the region of Gaul'kor was initially founded during the time of the Tindremic Empire's Imperial Campaigns as a rough-hewn—but highly prosperous—mining and metalworking settlement on Myrland near the border of Herabalter.
After the Risar assaults which led to its fall, a more dangerous population found their home in its dilapidated ruins and, much later, seemingly even weathered The Irruption. The settlement acts as one of a few areas of relative shelter in the treacherous volcanic wastes.
Gaul'kor has historically housed the most Thursar of any settlement on Myrland, with those who are unable to adapt to civilization due to their half-Risar nature or general upbringing winding up here together alongside all sorts of scum. Myrland's more civilized Thursar look down on the city, as it only contributes to their already poor reputation.
Perhaps the most unique facet of the settlement are the Blast Furnaces of Húergar construction which somehow still remain functional despite the dilapidation surrounding them.
