The salty waters to the easy of our lands are a great sea of many stories. These stories are surely best known by the tribes of Toxai, who spend some of their time fishing in these waters. It would be foolish to not also mention the Alvarin who reside there.
Though their numbers are said to have dwindled since The Irruption, the stories they choose to tell exist as evidence of what can be found when sailing from Lykia to Toxai.
The stories shared by the folk of Toxai concerning the eastern sea tell of many strange creatures that swim in its waters.
Among them are fish that will attach themselves to the bottom of a small boat and make it unable to move, an octopus the size of a large ship that will tear off its own limbs when distressed and regrow them over the course of three and one-half years, a great eel said to be able to call thunderstorms, and a colorful worm that lives buried in the sand that will extend itself as fast as a striking snake to catch its prey.
There exists a group of three mountainous islands off the coast of Toxai where some isolated tribes can be found. It is unknown if they are descended from the Khurs of Toxai, the Dalai of the Southern Seas, or another group altogether.
These islands share the trait of being made of sheer cliffs on each side, with only one having a small harbor where ships may safely land. It is only by bridges made of vines and wood that one is able to move from this island to the others.
The people here are very distrustful of outsiders, only allowing select individuals beyond the harbor.
A rather infamous island is the 'Isle of Spiders' found in the southern portion of this sea. It is said to be densely forested and blanketed in webs, with highly venomous spiders of many different sizes and kinds living there. These spiders mostly prey on birds and large insects that come to the island to rest during long flights.
Another island worthy of mention is one that is said to only appear on nights with a full moon. This vanishing island, known to the locals as the “Full Moon Isle”, is thought to be a dangerous omen and that one should avoid it at all costs.
