The others can't understand the concerns of the Khurites, if most here even understand their tongue at all. They neglect the skill's usefulness, but I have studied their language ever since I was assigned to the east.

I listen to the Khurite laborers from time to time. Sometimes they share their nightmares. One said he dreamt of a great, terrible sea bird circling above him in the sea, and he claimed that any time he attempted to reach shore it would dive down and begin to drown him.
