Text:

A colleague of mine recently expressed how they wish to raise a skeleton. I did not wish to insult them, so I held my tongue and vowed to write about the matter later.

Is the idea majestic? Certainly. Is the idea practical? Hardly!

Think of the tiresome work, let alone the fragility of such a thing! One would have to either articulate its joints with magic, or bind them with rope to keep it from falling apart. Likely some combination of both, doing the work of tendon and muscle that would exist if but a fresher corpse were used!

And arranging each and every bone just so? All of the pieces… Truly imagine the tedium! Over two hundred bones carefully set in place and either permanently fixed or tied together in some way. All of the bones of the hand. All of the bones of the foot. Each and every rib and section of spine.

Madness!

All of that effort, only to be made a laughing stock if you put it together wrong. To do such a thing is an exercise in vanity or boredom over practicality. A waste of resources and time!
