Text:
The more time I spend here, the more I believe this was the right choice.
It is a small village, and not much happens here. Things are logical, predictable, regular, and boring. That is a blessing in times like these, and I am thankful for it every day.
At one point in my life I had believed it better to perhaps search for an isolated settlement of my people.
I wished to chase the exciting notion that both sides of the Oghmir clade could reclaim some of the ruins in the mountains and make them into a proper settlement. A true home, where we can live true to our customs without being pestered about our ways of life.
But there is comfort in familiarity and, with risk of sounding stereotypical, I simply do not enjoy change.
I may be an Oghmir, but I am also a Fabernumite, and the humans who share this place with us are kind enough. This is far away enough from the noise of the city, and it will do for now.
