I was taken seven years ago by the Tindremenes as a slave.

For those seven years I worked in Meduli under a nobilita named Petrios.

He was blind.

I learned to read and write for him. I felt pity for the old man. I could have left easily. I did not.

I escaped across the plains when he died of his old age. When I returned to Vadda my tribe had long left.

I will wait here for a time.

Word of my tribe will reach Vadda soon enough. I will help the people here until then.
