She tricked me, tricked both of us, into spending all of that money.

I was too trusting, and I paid the price. I cannot believe that after all I have done for her, all I have done for the city, and all I have done for the Provinces that being unable to pay my taxes was worthy of them attempting to arrest me.

It is of no matter, I will return someday.

I simply need to borrow some more coin, surely one of these outlaws will be willing to make a deal. Perhaps I will tell them about the less frequented entrances to the sewers, that would be worthwhile information.
