Think of Old Hyllspêia for me. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and truly imagine the sight of it.
You likely imagined Rimfrost or Branth, but smaller. They exist as the grandest spectacle of Blainn architecture, after all. And maybe you are right, perhaps that is what it looked like, but none of us can truly picture it because there's no present evidence it ever existed.
All records say it did, both the Tindremic Empire and the scholars of Rimfrost say that there was once a Blainn settlement named Hyllspêia, and they mention it quite casually.
If all can agree it was not a myth, where then did it go?
That impregnable gate sitting high above Hyllspêia is not Blainn in make, all can recognize it is Huérgar. It mocks us with its cold, solid presence.
Have you heard the story of the Battle of Nereb Madgulu? How the fissure-skinned certainly sat by in their heartless tower of stone and metal while we mere humans were allowed to be slaughtered and sullied by the score?
They are cowards, Vandra. The clearest signs of their treacherous nature began at Rimfrost and continue to the present.
What do you think they did to the Blainn, Vandra? Why is there nothing left? Why does the Huérgar gate stand strong while the Blainn who once lived here have been wiped from the face of Nave?
I intend to find out.
