I had hoped it wouldn't come to this, but our leader's descent into the ruin was the perfect time to act. The Pathfinder's pursuit of power and knowledge threatens us all. It was clear to me that a change was necessary, and now I know I wasn't alone in that belief.
When the others had gone below, I seized the moment to speak out. I tried to make them see reason, to understand that following our leader's reckless path would us to ruin. But reason is a rare commodity among warriors driven by ambition and fear.
The fight that followed was inevitable. In the chaos, the damn key shattered into three pieces, each claimed by those who see a different path forward. That blind Loyalist clings to the past, while the other coward hides.
I, however, see the truth. We must confront the Pathfinder, not as followers, but as equals, or challengers, if need be.
I will gather those who share my vision. We will restore the key, not to free the Pathfinder, but to face them and make them see the error of their ways.
If they refuse, we will do what must be done.
