====== Introduction ====== The Tindremenes are renowned for their history as conquerors and the fantastic capital city of Tindrem. Prior to The Conflux, the the Tindremic Empire dominated large parts of the known world, with outposts in every corner of the realm. Those days of glory are over, but the Tindremenes still regard themselves as the finest, most advanced civilization in the world. Before The Irruption, Tindremic society used a complicated caste system that enveloped every man and woman born or assimilated into the Empire, but only pure-blooded Tindremenes were allowed in the higher castes. During this period, because the Empire had several academies, each free citizen was expected to have at least one year of education and Tindremic society had a high degree of literacy. The rich nutritional resources available in a comfortable climate have coupled with the high standard of living in a well developed society. These factors have led to a Tindremic bloodline which favors intellectual superiority over lesser physical traits. ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ ====== Language ====== The //contemporary belief// is that the roots of the original //Old Tindremic// language are a direct descendant of the Shinarian Language. It is mostly spoken in ceremonial and traditional situations, although the //Tindremic Meduli// dialect has kept many aspects of it. //Tindremic// is regarded as its modern form, spoken by all //Tindremenes//. As an example of how the language has changed with time, we can look to the word Tekton. //"K"// in //Old// and //New Tindremic// is always the hard consonant. In //Modern Tindremic// the //"C"// symbol has started to replace the //"K"// - although it's used somewhat arbitrarily as //"s"//, //"ch"//, //"sh"// and //"k"// depending on context. Just like //"ae"// can mean //"a"//, //"ä"//, //"ai"//, //"e"// and //"a-e"//. In //Modern Tindremic// there are no real rules or established best practices or norms—or rather, there are several—so spellings vary greatly. ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ ====== Symbology ====== ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
