Currently managed by the capital's //Ugiyan Urland// organization, the sewers have recently fallen into a state of disarray due to a sharp rise in criminal activity within the tunnels. Much of the current sewers south of the ravine once existed as a series of mines and small natural caverns. Following [[The Irruption]] and the surge of refugees it created, the network of tunnels were quickly and crudely repurposed to assist in managing the growing needs of the newly-formed slum above. ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ ====== Chrrft Den ====== The [[Khurite]] people boast a vast and historied trade network spanning land and sea. Few greater examples of the evidence of this network exist than //Morin Khur's// current problem with [[Krrft|"chrrft"]]. The highly-addictive flourescent drug is extracted from the stingers of [[Akrep]]—scorpions found only on the western continent of [[Sarducaa]]—where it is known as //"krrft"//. Although the leadership of the city has banned its sale and usage outside of medical practices, it curiously seems to continue to find its way into the city, with a rumored den existing somewhere in the tunnels beneath the capital. It would not be hard for anyone familiar with //Morin Khur's// current social climate to imagine that some of the guards could easily be bribed and encouraged to look the other way, a far cry from the city's once devout and honorable protective force from an age ago. ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ ====== Slums Gang Hideaway ====== It is widely known within the city of //Morin Khur// that somewhere deep below the slums a powerful gang has taken up residence. Despite—or perhaps because of—numerous attempts to wipe the old mines clean of what many consider the scum of the city, it would seem that the guards have largely given up on taking it over. ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ ====== City of the Rats ====== Existing somewhere firmly between local myth and reasonable possibility, the //[[Tribe Rat|"City of the Rats"]]// has long been rumored to exist beneath //Morin Khur//. It is believed by the local [[Khurite#Khurs|Khurs]] that any lost item may end up here, surely having been stolen away by the rats in the dead of the night. In one legend popular with children, a group of heroes descended deep into the caverns in order to recover a lost sacred item from the rats, doing battle with their //"King"// who had the item in his possession. ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
