I have found a most unusual gemstone.

It is unlike any I have yet studied, of a pale red and much heavier than it looks. Its surface is smoother than one would expect, however most intriguing of all, it is, well, singing.

I didn't notice it at first when I pulled it out of that drawer, but when I hold it close to my head I can hear a most pleasant and pure tone. I can't explain why, but it calms me effortlessly, and I have been carrying it with me everywhere.

The shape of it is also rather odd, it's as if it has been cut to fit perfectly in the palm of my hand.
