====== Introduction ======
//Isla Piska// is a large island north of [[Tindrem]] which was first settled by the [[Tindremene|Tindremenes]] prior to [[The Conflux]] as a fishing outpost and later acted as an important locale for research into forbidden rituals associated with [[Magic#Necromancy|Necromancy]] and [[Magic#Demonology|Demonology]].

While all schools of [[Magic]] were taught and had their own established institutions in the late [[Tindrem#Pre-Irruption Magic & Science|Clerus Magica]] prior to its collapse at the end of [[The Irruption]], the danger to both researchers and the general public posed by the aforementioned rituals necessitated a somewhat isolated locale in the reasonably likely event that something might go terribly wrong.

It is unclear how //Isla Piska// fared during //The Irruption//, though given that it quickly re-established itself as a [[Tindremic Empire|Tindremic Province]] when the opportunity became available once more, it is almost certain at least some of the isle's population survived.
